Two Elements Make A Complete System!
The STANDARD element has an area of 12.5 sq ft or 1,125 m2 and is generally used for walls; the END element is used for terminating wall sections, members of headers, sills and corners. RASTRA® elements can be easily cut, rasped, routed or even carved into sculpture–like forms, using common tools that are suited to working with wood. Plaster adheres well to the face of RASTRA® elements without any preparation; tiles can be glued right onto the surface.
RASTRA® elements can be set in place without the use of cranes. They can be simply glued or clamped together to hold them in place until the concrete is poured. THASTYRON™ is a lightweight but strong material. It is somewhat flexible and not brittle. It can be easily tooled with all woodworking tools, such as a handsaw or chainsaw, a rasp, a drill, a router, etc.. As a matter of fact, it can even be sculptured and carved to achieve any desired look. RASTRA® elements can be stepped on during construction and will support prefabricated roof slabs. Strong winds during the construction phase are also not a threat.
When the foundation is finished, just start at one corner and place or stack the RASTRA® elements into position. The large but lightweight panels can be handled without cranes. Simple tools cut, rasp or drill the elements. The workability of the product is easier than wood.
RASTRA® elements can be stacked horizontally, like blocks, or vertically. This stacking flexibility even saves you from having to lift the panels; just tilt them up, tack them with glue or clamp them for temporary support. Then, once you have a wall section set up, bring it into plumb; windows and doors can be simply cut out.

The RASTRA® wall panel is prefabricated in the factory according to the architect’s plans– up to sizes of 25 ft / 7.5 m long. These panels can include reinforcements, windows, door frames and even plumbing. As the concrete is poured once the panels are placed, handling is easy and adjustments can be made onsite. RASTRA® is the fastest building method known to the construction industry!
